    The cottage Rissou is the last house of the hamlet, after this house, starts the foot path leading to the river. This accomodation has two bedrooms and a private garden with a great view.

A COSY STONE HOUSE
 -----------------------------------------

     Standing apart without being faraway, this cosy lodging is built out of stones. Those stones were carved directly from the volcano's slopes right behind the house.
   From the street below a stone stairway leads up to the private garden and the entrance of the cottage.

  This house has thick walls, they keep it cool in the summer.
   

 KITCHEN AREA AND WOOD-STOVE FIRE-PLACE

Very often what people say when they enter the house is : " it's a real doll's house ", the mix between stone walls and wood panneling and the intimate size of the room participate in creating this cosy atmosphere.
At this level there are a kitchen and dining area, a woodstove-fireplace, stairs going up to the two bedrooms and next room still at the same level a bathroom with a bathtub and wc.
     


  
     THE VIEW FROM THE PRIVATE GARDEN
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------

    The enclosed small garden is sheltered from the wind, in the spring vegetation grows very early there.

  Part of the terrace is covered with big volcanic slates. The garden lounge is waiting for you, for a meal or just tea time.
