The "gîte rural" or cottage in the countryside
is a house or self-contained accomodation, with a fully equipped
kitchen, ready to use, a washing machine, and one or more bedrooms,
bathroom facilities. This self catering vacation rental is a
the place to be with your family or friends. It can be rented
for a few days, a weekend or for a several weeks stay. On your
arrival, the owners will give you a warm welcome.

The "gite de séjour" or cottage sejour is a
cottage with a large capacity. It is well fitted to accommodate
groups or families. For your holidays, family celebrations,
birthday parties, birthday weddings but also class meetings
the cottage sejour is the right place for you.
3 -No,
you can only rent a cottage for at least two nights, in the
high season it's at least a week.
4 - No,
all our cottages can be exclusively rented through the reservation
centre. To book online : just click on the top link "Rates-
Booking" on each pages in the section "cottages"
or on the bottom link "Book this cottage" and proceed.

5 - Self
catering means that you are completely independant in your cottage,
we do not serve meals or drinks.
6 - When you rent
the cottage sejour, the cottage is only for you, you won't share
it with other people.

A village of cottages ( "Village de gîtes" )
is gite adjoining others in the same settlement , here in the
hamlet " Cros la planche". The village of cottages
is great for families or groups meetings, it is easy for different
families or groups to meet each other in a village de gites.

9 -yes,
the owners will be on hand to welcome you and to give you
the cottage's keys, we will also be here to give you all needed
informations about your cottage and our touristic area.

Check In Time are : On saturdays at 16 pm for a week's stay
and on friday at 18 pm for weekend's stay. Check Out Time
are : On saturdays until 10 am for a week's stay and on sunday
at 18 pm for weekend's stay.
11 -Just
before the hamlet we have a private parking for cars. The
small road leading to our cottages stops there, then it's
a foot path down to the river. Car traffic is limited to people
staying in our cottages for unloading luggages upon their
arrival and also when they go grocerie- shopping.
12 -Most
mobile phones work in Cros la planche, depending of the operator,
some phones may work right into your cottage others on the
parking, on the hill behind the cottages. Complete coverage
should be done soon. Anyway, in emergency case you may use
our personnal phone line. In the village you will also find
a phone booth.

13 - We don't have
TV in our cottages, we each cottage has a TV plug ( antenna
) for you to plug our own.
14 - If
you don't bring your sheets, you can hire some here. The price
is 3.50 Euros for a couple of sheets for a single bed, and
7 Euros for a couple of sheets for a double bed.
15 - You
are completely responsible for you kids, inside your cottage
as well as outside.
16 - Yes, but sometimes,
in case of drought, regulation from the departement ( Ardeche
) won't allow you to light fire. The barbecue should not be
left unattended, and should be cleaned after use, we don't
provide any charcoal or barbecue starter.
17 - During
your stay and before leaving, you will be on charge of the
cleaning. Your cottage should be left very clean, if you don't
want to do the cleaning before leaving, you can opt for the
set house cleaning charge. Cottage

18 - The closest
gas station is in Arcens ( 7 kms ). Going to Le Puy en Velay
you will find a gas station at Les Estables ( 20 Kms ).

can get cash at the cash dispenser of the Credit Agricole
in Saint Martin de Valamas ( 14 kms ).

There are small size shops in Saint Martial ( 2 Kms) Bakery,
grocery, a famous cured meat shop, Bar and tabacco shop, and
on sundays in the summer itinerant merchants sell delicious
fruit, vegetables, cheese... Medium size shops are in Saint
Martin de Valamas ( 14 Kms ) and real shopping center in Le
Cheylard ( 25 Kms ). Many lively markets are also in the villages
marketplace.

pharmacy is in Saint Martin de Valamas ( 14 Kms ).
22 - A nurse will
come to our cottages to take care of you if needed.
23 -
The closest doctors are in Saint Martin de Valamas 14 Kms,
others are in Le Cheylard ( 25 Kms ).
24 -You
may take the train to the railroad station in Valence ( 90
Kms ), then the bus to Le Cheylard ( 25 Kms ). After Le Cheylard
there is no more public buses.
25 - A small one
is in Le Puy en Velay (one hour trip) and
in Lyon
there is the Saint exupery
airport.
