After
so many years of noisy house buiding, it's now a real pleasure
to sit quietly on the bench in the garden and to look at those
beautiful houses. I feel then, thanksfull to the people who
participated in building and fixing this place.
IT WAS LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT ...
----------------------------------------------------------- You had to be imaginative
to start this adventure. Claire had the right amount of imagination
needed. Of course, it was also a choice of life style.
We didn't inherit a family property so starting with ruins was
our only choice and we weren't scared about it.
We were young and motivated with ideals :
To live close to nature, and save a part of our past,
through preserving an old house ( dating back to 1709).

FROM 1976 TO 1982 : WORKING TOGETHER ...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------- It's
the start, with help from friends and family we slowly rebuid
the first house. It's also the birth of Aude, Anne and Lucie.
FROM 1983 TO 1993 : STILL BUILDING BUT ALLREADY ACCOMODATING
TOURISTS...

Alterations are going on
in the houses, and we open our first "Bed and breakfast".
It's a very user-friendly time. Countryside tourism is slowly
increasing. We meet a lot of people and have nice evenings around
the fire place. We will never forget that period. Claire is
cooking great meals and we all enjoy it.Our
daughter Elise is born in 1987.
FROM 1995 TO NOW : ACHIEVEMENT ...
---------------------------------------------------------------- The cottage for groups ( gîte
de sejour ) is now on service and all other cottages are completed,
our goals are reached. For over 20 years, we accomodate tourists
with a sense of sharing and meeting. The hamlet is all fixed
and our six self-catering lodgings very much appreciated.
